Wrong measurement results are often due to the sample composition (matrix). Disturbing factors are often reaction-relevant substances within the sample. They can, for instance, simulate a higher concentration by their similar ion charge and size, or a lower concentration by decreasing the parameter through complexation.
The MatrixCheck of the WTW photoLab® spectrophotometers is an effective means for the search of these disturbing factors.
