4th International Symposium Interface Biology of Implants

After the great success of the Symposium on “Interface Biology of Implants” in 2003, 2006 and 2009, the organizers are pleased to announce and invite you to the 4th International Symposium from May 9 to 11 in Rostock, Germany. It is traditionally held in the Kurhaus Warnemünde on the beautiful Baltic Sea coast.

Participants can expect a scientific program that will focus on the interdisciplinary aspects of designing medical implants in the field of regenerative medicine. High-ranked invited speakers will present their latest data concerning the generation of bioactive materials and the cellular responses. Because this field of applied research requires continuous input from basic sciences, cellular mechanisms of cell adhesion and the mechanical control of cells will be discussed.

Again, this Symposium will bring together scientists from multiple disciplines, because to guide cell and tissue development using biomaterials, a collaboration between a variety of disciplines, such as material science, physics, chemistry and life sciences is required. This exciting field of regenerative medicine holds new possibilities, which can significantly contribute to the progress in medicine. The event will be accompanied by a specialized industrial exhibition.
