Head of Facility for Advanced Microscopy and Imaging - Position Available at the FMI in Basel

The Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research invites applications for the position as head of the Facility for Advanced Microscopy and Imaging (FAIM).

We are seeking an individual with extensive knowledge expertise and a demonstrated track record in microscopy and optical engineering in a biological research environment. Practical experience in optical techniques such as multiphoton and/or superresolution microscopy, as well as image processing and digital data management is important.

The successful candidate will have a talent for leadership, strong communication skills and experience in the successful supervision of co-workers. Management experience in a microscopy and imaging laboratory is an advantage.
